I thought I would resuscitate the budget contingency for Mother Nature thread after the passing of tropical storm Arthur this past Saturday (2014.07.05).In my last update, we had just finished our "snowiest" winter in over a decade and, at its end, our snow removal costs were up 90% year-over-year.   

Then Chicago Heights, Dalton and Evergreen Park outside of Chicago.

You passed the first hurdle by moving here during the hurricane season and not having a tropical storm mess up your move.

Due to the crazy prices you mentioned, I have mainly been looking in Burnaby and Coquitlam (near the upcoming Evergreen line), although even Burnaby is getting up there in prices these days.  

Then these gurus will pack up their bags and sit on their millions on a tropical island...right?

I have used both SN and Evergreen and think FCI has the best online portal for portfolio management compared to them.

If it's the latter, there are certainly good properties that work as an Airbnb in areas like Conifer, Bailey, Evergreen.
