If you're going to go whole hog with several dozen a year as a business, it would probably make sense to have your own brokerage. 

I was an investor for years before I became an agent for an investor-focused brokerage here in Reno, NV. 

Keep in mind that when you are licensed as an agent, wholesaling can be restricted or disallowed by your brokerage so you want to check there first.
