It is a 2 hour drive from the nearest commercial airport.

I have seen a lot of construction in the adjacent counties though.

Its a little under the radar currently but is certainly growing and in 2025 they are getting an airport! 

GSP airport is nearby.

Tampa has a lot of draws, to name a few is Beach, Boating, Golf, Casino, Intl Airport/Biz Travel, Busch Gardens, NFL/NHL/MLB, Concerts/Festivals, and more.I would say Sarasota is a submarket of Tampa but has its own attributes as well.
