Hi folks,My wife and I are looking to purchase a vacation cabin in Packwood not for use as an Airbnb. 

Whalen doesn't quite strike me as the permanent-cultural-vacation-to-Europe type to escape this mess.

My specialty as an example is working with investors looking to build portfolios of Short Term Rental/ luxury vacation properties all across the US.  90% of my clients use the 10% down second home occupancy loan.  

Tenant stopped paying rent before 2 months of the lease expiring, property manager filed for eviction process but tenant vacated the property before sheriff served the notice.

If you buy in a vacation area there really is no safety net other than desirability/location…I guess just don’t pay up too much.  

What do you do when in house goes on vacation? 

Good stuff....but you mean 'vacation rental' instead of ABNB, right?

Essentially giving them 30 days to vacate (assuming you can do that in your area).

Posting is insufficient, absent court order for alternate service, if the property is not vacate.  

I could sometimes get in 5-7 days once a year for a vacation but I'd pay the price when I got back.
