I had 2 STRs at the Great Recession (GR) that have currently over 20m people within a few hours drive (San Diego, Tijuana, Orange County, Los Angeles, riverside, and imperial county), not sure what population was at GC.  

I've read some posts here about insurance but wanted to ask again if there are any updated recommendations for a landlord policy in Orange County, California.

Orange County is obviously very expensive, but have you looked at neighboring cities, even Las Vegas? 

@Marc Shin wouldn't advise painting the brick as then it will have to be done every 5-7 years, if done the right way, more often if hacked.Just paint the walled garage door faux stone area a better color that doesn't clash with the orange brick.

Otherwise, you will be comparing apples to oranges. 

Sure, the market dynamics there are as different from the US as apples are from oranges, but hey, they're both fruit, right?
