I splurged on the nicer chisel faced block from a big box store a 15 gallon red bud tree from a nursery.   

I'm purely independent now, working as a landscaper and selling plants (starting a nursery business).

As an entrepreneur, you should not care if they use it as a nursery or a warehouse, it is a business, unless you have the capital to play nice and be chossy for your own self-indulgence.   

Visit a local Mom-n-Pop nursery and ask what will work in your area and do it.

If there's no nursery to paint in the apartment, put the baby in the living room for a couple months while you shop for a new home (the baby won't know:). 

. - Personal considerations: if the property is broken into thirds then 1/3 is a nursery w/ greenhouses etc, the middle 1/3 our house and orchard, the final 1/3 woods.

Buy a copy of Capital Press, and in the classified, there will be a nursery section where you will find where you buy plants 100 at a time at whoelsale prices.

It makes you sound more credible, since only an infant's nursery could really use a space so small.

I tell them my story to encourage them, not to brag and they know that, but their response is "but we only live once..we need vacations...the baby needs a cute nursery..."
