Thinking a smoker will not smoke in your property is a pipe dream.

A property that has addressed a radon problem with mitigation methods is a much safer home to live in than one that has not and I'd promote that.Of course, if you tenant pool is largely smokers, they may not care.

It will be hard to rent to non-smokers, and even some smokers don't want to move into someone else's smoke.

I read radon is the first cause of cancer for non smokers.

The previous owners were heavy smokers and that smell has saturated the house.

I was hoping to approach this more as a "live-in flip" since most of the trouble is just that the place is nasty (smoker, carpets, etc) and needs a really good cleaning, painting all interior walls and flooring, all of which I think I can handle myself.
