The house is always a terrible mess, windows are always closed and shades are always down and shut, never got a notice about mold, and I'm sure I mitigated any chance of mold.

If it had been a water line, and since water lines are always under pressure when the water is on at the shut off valve, then the leak would have been consistent whether or not the bathroom had been used or not.

What should have taken about 30 minutes or little over ended up with 2 runs up the street to the ACE store for additional parts, and 3 hours later - some of that due to the fact this is on main street and it took a while to get the water shut off figured out as it was all redone this summer by the city.
