Charlotte is a financial center hub as it is ranked the third largest financial center in the US right behind New York and San Francisco.

Location: Hagerstown is called the hub city because of the connectivity and ability to travel within 1-hour range to multiple states and districts such as West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Washington DC, and Virginia.

They require a z-wave hub if you want remote access.

There are some nice ones where the center camera is the "hub" and 2 more can be placed around and go through that connection. 

Regarding tech- The hub for tech is in Chicago city proper, not the suburbs, hence why there is a boom in building new apartments in areas like the West Loop.

@Phil Mcnally - I'd say heating bills are just as often covered by tenants here - and our economy is oil tied - but Anchorage is also a vibrant city that is a hub for the entire state - and locked between ocean and mountains land is at a premium.
