I can tell you from my experience it is worth it all though.  

Becoming a real estate agent is a good idea to gain experience, but you could also explore property management, wholesaling, or working with an investor to build your network. 

It is important that you hire professionals who have experience working with foreign investors.

@Greg Kasmer i have not, im a new investor in the commercial and assumed due to my lack of experience it would be an issue
