As I mention above, I feel PM company should be more in active mode before me pitching in for suggestions. 

Even inactive Knob & Tube or Aluminum wiring can be problem in getting Insurance. 

I have listened to BP podcasts and have read many books now I would just like to see it all in action.

Hey all,I was curious how the rest of the BP community approaches the options  between investing in active opportunities versus passive opportunities in real estate investing.  

From what I can find if you don't have a job with a broker then you are considered "inactive".

You'd take one step at a time, finding your footing, enjoying the scenery, and resting when needed.That's "Start Small, Start Now" in action.

The biggest point of failure can sometimes be in action.

We are open to a flip if needed, and we hope to buy a house that we can sit on (while living in + actively renting) for a few years and get a return.
