look on airdna for rental data, just be aware the explosion of hosts has created a glut, and low prices in some cities, so it is a very competitive environment. 

You can do this thru experian and a whole host of other sites. 

If you use Airbnb yourself a few times, you will see the difference between a good and mediocre host and can adjust accordingly. 

IMO buying site seen is superior for a host of fiscal and logical reasons.

Just a lil about myself, I am a recent graduate (October 2017), live in New York City but move from Massachusetts where I go to school to SoCal California to live with a friend that currently goes to school in Los Angeles.Anyways my issue is after I move to California I started to work in December as a data center technician contractor in Irvine, the job lasted for 3 months since it was a 3 month contract, I’ve been researching about real estate since I started the job then decided that I wanted to invest in it.I devoted all my time and effort since March into real estate to learn and network, went to one meetup in Irvine, met the guy that hosted the meetup (Great Guy!)

It's a very investor friendly brokerage, the broker started and hosts the monthly REIA meeting!

I had a pretty awesome, albeit 24/7 career before I got my license (thinking that "all these people do it, I've done way more difficult things & have a master's degree-I can certainly succeed:) Succeed I have, and it took really doing what they teach us, building systems, really digging in why am I doing all this (staying up late, spend holiday weekends hosting open houses, as mentioned above, etc.).

Bed bugs can last for about five months without a host so if it sat vacant longer than that, there's little chance they would have survived.
