As an owner-occupant living in one unit in a multi-fam, you will have more leeway in who you can and can’t accept according to the law, but it’s always important to be aware of the rules to make sure you stay in compliance because you want to avoid having to defend yourself from an accusation.

However, if it's truly one of those communities that has very high crime and difficult to attract any descent tenants, it can lead to disaster.

Just do your due diligence and be aware of what’s going on.

In my opinion, if what you want is leads, you aren't going to make the right use out of Pro because you will be trolling for buyers and sellers instead of being an asset to the community and answering questions.If you've been a Pro member for several years and have only made three posts, you haven't been interacting with the community over that timeframe and that is where relationships are built.

Congratulations on deciding to take a big step by introducing yourself to the forums - while everyone is friendly and looking out for your success on these forums, I remember how intimidating it was making my first post introducing myself to the community 10 years ago and before I started working here.
