Long time listener of Bigger Pockets and this question is HAUNTING me so I jumped on here.

Planning to relocate to the Southeast (SC, NC or Georgia) in 2026 and want to start out by investing in single-family rentals, condos and joining real estate investment groups to invest in multi-unit or commercial properties.My investing goals consist of cash flow for consistent monthly payments and equity for bigger purchases down the road.Looking forward to building a network of real estate professionals and investors to help find new opportunities, stay on top of market trends and provide value to other investors and tenants.Any tips for new investors would be appreciated.Best,Brett HarmonTwitter

It's called something else that I can't recall at the moment, but they'll know and be able to guide you in the right direction.Since there is a large amount of equity in the rental home, just be sure that your new HOI policy has good coverage and possibly think about an Umbrella Policy or additional insurance coverage to "protect you" vs. trying to reinvent the wheel and forming an LLC just for the one property.SD

Some settlement is minor and can be easily fixed and other settlement is a bigger problem.

At this point I had a few cash cows and my finances in check so I wanted a bigger deal.

I’ve been looking on the website for bigger pockets but it’s mainly just multi- family.

When I started, these forums, doing research online, and cold calling really helped me find some of the bigger investors in my market.
