Honestly, why would anyone do that when the median house price of NYC is almost 1 million.

We built a new house 3100sqft, 4 Bed, 2 ½ bath for $310,000.

I'm waiting because I still haven't owned my house for 6 months.

If you want good contractors out there quickly , pay their price and pay it quickly . 12 months is too long , we can build a 3000 sq ft house ground up in 3 months . 

I am a local agent, property manager, investor, and house hacker in SLC area.

If you get cat urine in the house, it can cost you 10x the pet fee to mitigate the odor.

The investor if they slip and the lender if they need to take the house back.

I don't see it as an issue but many still do, at least in my small town where the majority of renters are elderly people looking for low maintenance housing options.

Gettysburg PA is a very attractive place and attracts a lot of tourist that now many retired people have started buying houses to live there and the prices of houses have gone out outside the Downtown.
