So, I switched to a higher-split brokerage (80/20) w/ none of the annoying fees aside from the mandatory Realtor Association (even though they say it's optional........it's optional like breathing is optional......you don't have to do it, but you won't last long), MLS fees, Lockbox fees and E&O insurance.

Now I would say half the ones I have done I felt like it was super easy and why don't I always save that money and the other half it is the most annoying tedious thing in the world and I can't believe that I thought it was worth my time to save such a trivial amount of money.Now on the buy side I see pretty much no value from an agent when I am putting in no contingency offers with a fast close.

Annoyed that I couldnt afford to live in CA, my wife and 1 year old moved to KCMO and bought a duplex.A near and dear friend from my church hinted of the fact of checking out RDPD by Kiyosaki, and thats when I made my commitment to become a full time REI by the time I hit 30.Looking forward to meeting people, and learning how I can help out the REI community.

The bet is that you will get more appreciation in Austin but a lot of that is already built in to the current prices, who knows how much more premium you will get, comparatively speaking.A side note is that I believe Austin has less of those annoying foundation issues than DFW (and Houston for that matter).

While it would be nice to utilize the space above the garage, the house would end up being too large for the neighborhood, and we're trying hard not to stick out or annoy our new neighbors.
