Hi all,I'm looking for advice and experience in how tough is it to sell land in Mexico living in the states.

Unfortunately there's a lot of alarmist/scare tactics utilized to upsell these services that do nothing but generate revenues for those who are selling the service and often leave the clients with recurring expenditures i.e  annual maintenance costs.  

The current owners have extremely low occupancy and are open to selling.

Conversely, sponsors might have projected mid-teens in 2020 and deliver a zero when they sell in 2025. 

Lease is coming up for tenant and we would love to sell the property, but just don't think we will be able to get what we payed for it back in the summer of 2018. 

Then again, as an STR I'm not sure that matters as much because you're not selling the home, you're renting to vacationers so that shouldn't be as affected. 

More than likely, the bank will not want to invest in attorneys for an eviction if they're looking to sell as-is. 

Is he going to just tell you to knock on doors and write letters, or is he going to introduce you to well vetted agents in your market that are known to source deals and sell for realistic prices?

I had a client that had an illegal garage rented out for $1k per month and when he attempted to sell the property, the tenant went to the city and the owner had to pay the tenant back 2 years worth of rent.
