Hey all,Does anybody have recommendations for a contractor that can handle a top to bottom remodel in the New Tampa or Wesley Chapel area?

@Michael Evans LillYou cannot deduct it, unless the HELOC was used to fund remodeling of your home or fund a business project, like buying an investment property.This may not really be a loss though.

Even in our 23 unit we just finished remodeling, they pay all utilities except shared water and trash, so we added on a $39/mo per unit charge for flat water/trash costs and will break even on those that way.And yes, insurance should likely be half of that.

My wife and I can do this - $400Everything else works and is in good shape.  2 of the 4 units have been remodeled. 

I'm brand new to this business I'm about 45 days in to the business and just got my first deal accepted I'm going to flip it now my question is my brother has been remodeling bathrooms and kitchens laying tile basically anything that needs repairs he can do does anyone see how it can be a problem hiring him to do the work over finding contractors to do the work

I aquire new houses and do remodels year round.

This is a fully remodeled unit so I didn't think we would get the best renters if we did not repaint. 

The rest of the remodel was done by contractors that work for us and get paid an hourly rate.

That is in addition to the money charged to remodel the house.
