I'd let them walk and be happy about it...this is a tenant who will flush cement down the toilet!

I also would use a nice gravel instead of cement, so I didn't have to maintain the cement.Moral: go for more counter space and functionality for the tenant (and storage space!)

I did prep it as you would cement, I made forms covered with plastic so it would not stick to the forms and I C clamped them in place to create a smooth surface under the counter.

I use 1" air gun finish nails in the end cap build ups, contact cement on the end caps, and polyurethane the sink cuts and the exposed edge where the dishwasher is.
