If you, as a customer, want something changed, it needs to be specifically written up in a proper Change Order so there are zero misunderstandings.

Everyone mentioning 2008 also has a gross misunderstanding of current market fundamentals.

I think I was misunderstanding the basic premise of assignment of contract, I didn't understand that you could assign it before you closed, I thought you could only do it after (you close then it's assigned to end buyer).

That's a reasonable request...to avoid future misunderstandings and because you can't afford the liability of the tenant making their own utility repairs.
