As I am contemplating leaving Quickbooks, it seems that the best strategy for me is to pay them one month a year for the next 7 years so that I can keep my data available in the event of an audit.

Use a email collection system like “Emailcollect” to get your guests data and remarket to them about local events etc in a simple newsletter every month.

Hi Andrew, I have been enjoying CIREIA :) it's membership basis but i have learned a lot from the events. 

Not sure how big Meetup and Eventbrite is in your area but I would try to attend as many events.

There is a monthly in person BP event, an event called pints and properties, a triangle deal makers session, NCREIA, and Triangle Real Estate Investors Association (TREIA) that meet in and around the Raleigh area.
