Do you really expect to get tenants to rent from you when next door is boarded up apartments where the homeless are living?

I've seen the worst of life: homelessness, violence, and hunger.

Following that, I would like to make regular donations to help the homeless shelters in Ontario to provide meals.

It is an article about the record breaking rents Spokane LLs are getting with a few sympathy-inducing tragic stories of tenants forced into homelessness by high rents. 

It rents much like a single family home (less hassle and less hands on) but I get the the bonus of having two sides to rent.

More California cities will be dealing with rent control along with stricter rent controls in cities like Oakland that already have it if AB 1506 is successful as it's currently written...its really sad too because repealing Costa Hawkins and/or Ellis Act (separate bill that I can't recall # off top of my head) is not going to solve the lack of affordable rental housing or the growing homeless crisis...IMHO.

So at this point we are homeless with all our belonging in storage, now the task of finding a hotel, that accepts dogs ( we have a small dog).

I have a tenant their rent is subsidized by the LINC program ( Living In Neighborhood Community), it's similar to Section 8, designed to help families in homeless shelters find housing.

Don't hold your breath as you can't bleed a rock. btw:  I wrote off $9500 of damages as the guy became both homeless and jobless.
