Ultimately, I am a believer in the trickle-down effect, you can call me an optimist, - new jobs always positive momentum - maybe it will not triple or double home values, but it can certainly at least help preserve what exists and mitigate deterioration - if not Amazon, who will be the major job supplier in the defined municipalities ?

WE hire a specific sub to do a specific job.. not a rehab contractor trying to figure out all the different trades... and all these subs have credit with the exception of the lumber package and truss's that we buy direct from the supplier.. everything else coming on the job is paid for up front by the sub contractor and once in place is paid for by us one time a month..

The thick underlayment (3 -5 mm) they sell in the big-box stores is not worth the extra cost (IMHO) and often makes for a poorer installation.If you are trying to save costs by skipping the underlayment why not simply ask the supplier to throw it in?
