If it is a market rate class A, B or even C properties, I would say that it (basic maintenance) is something the tenant should handle considering that for these properties the tenants likely have additional resources to handle small maintenance issues.

Plus, Zillow, Rentler and the other real estate platforms tend to have all sorts of unnecessary hoops to jump through for landlords, and I find a lot of their design very un-intuitive (I remember spending waaayyy too much time just trying to figure out simple things in Rentler). ...why can't they make it easier?

They probably got the Golden Visa where you only have to spend 500k on real estate to qualify and you get citizenship in addition you only have to spend 2 weeks a year in country.
