Want to scale up into multi family taking it one step at a time, trying to get some skim in the game.

I'm new to the game and looking to meet folks of all experience levels and soak in all this info in like a sponge. 

And I'll be out of the game from April to about August at least.

Finally someone did contact the authorities and the FBI got him, and now he and his partner are in prison, he has a huge judgement against him, and he's barred from doing business in real estate ever again.If you play this game long enough, you will eventually lose money.

@Angela A. rentals are a long-term game, despite what everyone thinks.Why don't you look into rental rates and work backwards, to determine the max PITI payment those rental rates will support, and then calculate the max mortgage amount?

Since this post got bumped, I'd love to hear any tips or tricks anyone would care to share about your last minute "game plan" if you happen to get a strong lead to reach back out/etc, with under 24-48 hours before auction.

NJ has top golf and I been there.Top golf is very strictly entertainment purpose. you are not allow to bring your club, they charge by hourly and have to order foods and drinks as well. while it is fun to enjoy, it doesn't provide friendly atmosphere for golf enthusiast to practice their golf swing and games. 

It can be done.My advice is pick a place and put ALL your efforts into a strategy to get into the game in that market.
