A good starting point for assessing these type projects is compiling data on the county population, weekly wages, employers, housing inventory, rental rates, etc.

@Justin Bartram like many suggested, a good option is to look at similar size and quality properties on AirBNB/VRBO, then compile data on average nightly rates and occupancy/vacancy.

Hi Fellow investorsI am currently scoping out the mid-hudsonvalley (Poughkeepsie, Fishkill, Beacon etc ) for potential investment with a BRRRR strategy.I am compiling some information, considered staple for farm area search, like crime, school quality, vacancy rate , tax rate etc on a google map, which can be exported to a KML file .The data source is mostly google and US census.

Start by compiling a list of candidates.

I have a summary tab that I can get an overview compiled from all the properties.

ie backer boards lining bathroom walls so towel rods don't pull loose.Looking forward to compiling a list!
