As a non American this sounded fanciful but I have watched it happen over 6 or 7 years.

Hi all,I am currently based in Latin America (not a US-citizen) and I am looking to invest in rental real estate in US together with a partner.

I think the banks snuck that into some legislation back in the 80s because they knew the average American moved every 7 years, so they figure make them pay interest heavy up front.

Do you believe a large amount of American will move to Canada?

If your parents are not American it may be different as well.

Depending on who the underwriter is (First American for example) they have additional requirements that the attorney has worked for 5 years under a title examining attorney before they can prepare their own opinion for example. 

The American system does not have enough checks and far too many underfinanced low wage earners are still buying homes they can not possibly afford.

Americans simply don't want to acknowledge the workings and vast impact of structural racism, let alone individual racist attitudes and behavior.
