I'm about to start short term rental for travelling Nurses (travelling medical professionals).

We are also considering the benefits of pursuing a long term vs. medium term rental (I used to be involved in the travel nursing/therapy world).

In general high crime areas are not where travelers want to be.   

So you've got a full day of travel and then the weather November - March is pretty unreliable.  

What are the prices like and are you having to travel there much?

MTR in Florida is hot due to traveling nurses, corporate remote work and other.As far as vacant land goes Modular homes are taking a huge step into the REI market with some upgraded luxury home styles. 

2/1s  and 1/1s are great for travel medical professionals and digital nomads. 3/1s are a lot tougher to rent as MTRs.

Also it completely freed us to be able to travel anytime anywhere for weeks at a time and ultimately months at a time.  

I'm not sure what part of FL you're in and what properties cost there but could you buy something locally and rent it out or do MTR or STR (to traveling nurses or corporate professionals and/or people vacationing)?

It's a small percentage of guests or Travelers who want the one on one attention that a person managing their own property can give.
