Its certainly not appropriate for 99% of the viewers on BP that are primarily interest in either rental property long term or fix and flip short term.  

If you have rental(s) or plan to get one and want to decide between long/mid and short-term rental strategies taxes do play a roll if you have high W2 income you want to try and reduce you tax burden. 

With my increased AirBnB performance, I decided to turn 2 other rental homes into short term rentals and decided it was worth investing in proper training to make sure I was doing it right.
