I know of a few individuals who had significant issues with the process to the degree that they had taken nearly all their course work but were then told that due to changing laws they would have to start over.I would like to get advice from you all regarding both the field of Property Management, in general and specifically in Indiana, and in the licensing and additional requirements that I may, as of now, be unaware of to professionally perform in this arena.NOTE:I am currently unable, financially, to make this my primary day-to-day job, so will have to work it around my current career that represents 10 hrs/day during the week.

If the building has gas heat then obviously they're not using oil for heating, but you can see if you see any odd, old looking pipes (not water, not gas, pretty narrow and often bent at less than 90 degree angles) going underground.

Depending on the nature and degree of the repairs the tenant may have claim to an equitable interest in the property which would make things messy and complicated in the event you need to evict.

And most critically, we've had to explain the sizable amounts of money we've spent overseas and on travel expenses - as our first daughter is from Colombia, and our other two are from a country bordering Turkey and Iran.So yes: we've traveled extensively to countries with colorful histories, and have large transactions of cash in and out with some degree of frequency - we're the perfect borrowers :-)
