I started out from a humble beginning as an Immigrant from Indonesia and currently living and working a W2 job based on the Southern California market. 

(VAT, etc)  Until recently,  they have also had a very strict immigration policy which the United States couldn't even come close to.

Not sure if IRS double checks with SS or immigration for the legal ability to work.   

@Dan Burstain, people been saying that in Texas since we forced out the Mexicans by illegal immigration of white Americans from the north about 200 years ago.

Students, illegal immigrants, druglord bust is occurring on regular basis.This is Burbank Unified School District with one overworked superintendent above a principle.

I have started to see that "Generational Wealth" is the source of instability for a lot of immigrant families as well, it's very different even when a legal immigrant has no "generational wealth" compared to a family that's illegal but has vast generational wealth (doesn't matter where the wealth is located because wealth is very transferable these days).Also what you mentioned above is true and it's why sometimes upward mobility class can't happen....

My parents took a bite out of the American Dream as 1st generation immigrants with sweat and blood but they worked too hard unnecessarily because they lacked the knowledge of proper investing and building wealth.Biggerpockets and others are leading all kinds of people to investing which is an open secret; available to everyone but only practiced by a few.

He also helped a relative of my boss in an 'entertaining' situation - border and immigration lost documentation of one of the guy's H1B renewals, and accused him of having worked illegally in the US.

I was screwed over by an immigration attorney 25 years ago.

I love how everyone in areas like my state wants to help out the homeless, help illegal immigrants, increase welfare, increase incentives not to work, are content with running deficits & want to give free college to everyone.
