he's buying rentals in the local college area there, lives on Long Island, drives up there once a month, has property management in place and is supposedly doing pretty well - he currently owns 3 rentals and is currently in negotiations to purchase 1 duplex and a 4 unit. i might consider going in on one this year with him - a commercial unit.
