Not an impossible feat... but definitely not an easy one... it took an iron will and a shared focused dream of true and lasting freedom.... but none of this could have been possible without the inception of an idea... a stumbling of critical knowledge found from a podcast all those years ago.

Do you know that the Univesity has Apartment complexes around there that they put up iron fences around the complexes and hired Security to guard the premises because of all the drugs and crime?

carpet 3 renters if your lucky, laminate can be ruined with a sponge mop, vinyl plank , (snap together) has made it three renters and still looking good, ceramic tile on concrete foundations lasted for years, but a cast iron skillet will break one.warranty, yeah right, suck it up , and get ready to buy more product.

If you don't want that, it may be better to remove it, if it's not a requirement in your market.In general, for a 1970 house:The drain plumbing might be cast iron.

New plumbing is better than old in general, especially if you have galvanized supply or cast-iron waste.

And a good idea would be to build it into the rent (no DIY on that front, definitely have a professional cleaner come out), but first iron out what the insurance policy dictates around requirements; removing certain items or making sure that certain things - a fence - are in place.

If it has the iron/metal drain pipes under sink then they tend to corrode with rust and then collapse when you get water turned on, which means you now have to replace all of that with PVC.
