Hello all, my tenant is vacating after about 8 years and I wanted to take this as an opportunity to upgrade the property (~$10k) and fix stuff (new exterior and interior paint, stainless steel dishwasher, etc.).  

I would need to redo flooring throughout and paint the interior and exterior, install new vanities, lights, new kitchen, the list goes on.

Built 1959 - interior looks remodeled and wondering what I should look out for in the HOA (docs) and when considering a purchase in the building.

Interior is fairly easy exterior is well septic and roof that big tickets

Complete interior/exterior paint, Flooring, pressure washed/freshly stained deck, Upgraded the bathrooms and laundry to "farmhouse style."

Exterior/Interior paint, installed A/C unit, New electrical + panel, Appliances, Vinyl flooring throughout, bathroom upgrades What was the outcome?

Do I estimate it solely based on the exterior condition of the property (assuming the exterior condition is a good indicator of the interior condition)?

I am a huge DIYer and so far - Laid the vinyl flooring 1500sqft- Installed Recess lights (40 lights)- Built a retaining wall (35ft)- Built a pergola from ground up- Interior paint (appro 2500 sqft)- Built a wooden board-on-board fence (75ft)also, a software engineer (nerd 😊) I am 38yrs old and have some milage to do DIY to buy a partially run-down property and upgrade it.Looking forward to learning new things from the members and seek advice.
