Husband gets arrested and we check online- he had a warrant for felony check fraud (from after they moved in) and he spends over a week in jail before posting bail.Fast forward again to the beginning of this month, we check in right away and they say they will pay soon and want to set up payments online which is great!

The owner, who I think bought it from a wholesaler, has just been absentee and now the home is facing abatement and a warrant has been issued for his arrest because he missed one or two court dates.

It just seemed to me there was some ways we could do this that would keep residents safe, avoid bankrupting investors and keep affordable housing options open for people.I will say with 4 city council members being arrested by the FBI today on bribery charges after a 2-year investigation and two of those individuals being the ones to really push for this law that it may be delayed for a long time, but time will tell what happens next.

so when you call Bank of America, they can't find any record of them owning the property, which they don't, AND they can't give you any information about the loan status without written permission from the owner, and the owner moved to TN, just ahead of the warrant for his arrest.
