@Mathew Aron  I like some of the things the people above have said....but ULTIMATELY you have to think like a criminal. 

For a criminal to shoot or rob someone at a motel would not only be risky, but would totally prevent a clean getaway, as there is pretty much always a random guests who also happens to be smoking or walking outside who can see things.

He also threw paint all over our gate, that opens to 10 other residences and was told that since he's allowed to use the gate to get to his house, it's also civil and not criminal.

Things that those companies gave into are criminal and if this was truly a free society, the company would have been able to kick the UAW out on there butt's when they made those demands and replaced them with new workers.
