There are plenty of people out there that will be happy to part you from your money.Personally I think people are always better keeping their money closer to home, where you know or can easily get up to speed on the market, know the economy, etc.

Hedging options are available but I am not up to speed on the specific techniques to do so.

Don't think your age means you should speed into investing.

@Joshua Dorkin and @Jean Bolger  I use "Enounce My Speed" to speed up flash streaming videos (like the ones on YouTube).
