Hi I'm curious about the different real estate markets in African countries.

I have family and I enjoy them immensely through out the year!!

And yes, my ability to borrow up to 50k from my 401k helped me immensely too!  

At your age you have immense opportunities, oh & take care of your dad...trades are rough on the body ;)I wish you all the best, and remember this isnt a get rich quick game, as many others have said its not about timing the market, its about time in the market.

Any insights and experiences would be immensely valuable.  

If not, LTR is a tried and true solution that has generated immense wealth for investors - there is nothing wrong with sticking to that strategy. 

Mostly because it’ll be my first property and I’m bound to have mess ups, so being on the property to attend to that would help immensely.

I've seen a lot of that in Mississippi, especially among African-Americans.  

The first 45-ish days were HARD work.Fast forward to today, and here is what we have accomplished: - The meals, which previously were meager and mostly served out of cans/boxes have improved immensely.

When the market turns up, prices also go up quickly.We all read stories about immense amounts of capital - dry powder - poised to jump back into the market…….Assuming there are deals to be had…….I submit for consideration, the retail investor isn’t going to get them……it’s the groups with Millions and even Billions in the bank that will get them……While returns on multifamily have decreased - at the present time, solid deals run by experienced operators might yield 13% 14% IRRs……….and 16% or 17% annual rates of returns…..On a 5 to 10 year horizon, I believe investors will be better off continuing to invest in real estate than Treasuries……..So while parking the money in Treasuries may feel safe - deciding when and where to re-enter the market is a difficult decision.I believe retail investors will do better investing with a long term horizon - less focus on timing the market or getting a deal - time in the market v timing the market.Thoughts?
