Negativity breeds negativity.  

I dunno...all I can say is that maybe being forced into being irrational breeds more irrational behavior.

I would also require them to have insurance that covers the dog and lists you as "additional interest" or "additional insured" and protects you against anyone suing.Check with your insurance company because some insurance companies will not cover you if there is a "dangerous breed" on the property.

There is a sense of entitlement saturating our country and everyone and their brother feels it is their right to have an aggressive breed as a member of the family.

A dog on a restricted breed list? 

It is definitely a risk but can be offset by an additional deposit, a monthly pet fee, and pet restrictions on size or breed. 

This kind of thinking breeds ill will and doesn't promote long term tenants.
