It’s done but can be risky.Just my 2 cents and how I approached my real estate / home ownership process - not saying it’s right or wrong just sharing my experience

The process was simple, we used Upwork and Fiverr to find 3-4 potential editors.

Allegheny county (which is the County the actual city is in) has actually closed their voucher program to new recipients and are supposedly backed up on a 2 year+ waitlist to process what is in the queue.

Replatting and renovating could definitely add value, but working with someone who knows the local zoning and permitting processes will be key.

Yes they were great to work with and all and all it was not a bad process. 

A lot of this process depends on your laws regarding STR and Mid term leases/occupancy?
