Before the multifamily lovers chime in, this market is way different than California, New York, or any big metropolitan city with a large downtown population. 

I am a dog lover and would do anything for my two boys, however, I just can't imagine claiming them as therapy pets, emotional support pets, or a service pet just to get what I wanted. 

Just saw this on a listing that I was looking at:"Charming home that needs work.

Built in 1890, the home has seen little remodeling and so retains much of its historic charm.

@Michael Lee I love real estate because I want to work for myself and improve my community while simultaneously finding financial freedom for myself, so I guess it would be a long term goal.
