We are getting ready to rent out our first home in the Seattle area, and we just learned that there is an anti-discrimination law in King County regarding Section 8. 

I think in some areas there will be no STRs available for lottery after accommodating the "good" STR owners.Del Mar passed very stringent non-STR regulations but the coastal commission required that they be eased slightly.In general, San Diego climate is anti- STR and to plan for STRs is a higher risk plan. 

Hi @Ben Capone, I would just caution you that as part of Anti-Money-Laundering (AML) regulations on lenders, they will have to "source" any down payment.

And if the STRs aren't bringing in full time residents the economic base of the town suffers while housing gets scarcer.I'm not anti STR, but people who oppose it are starting from a perfectly rational place.We have done STRs and they certainly aren't 

I'm not anti-Kyosaki, but you must realize he's a "big picture" guy. 

@John Thedford it's clear that you are really really anti-wholesaling but trying to scare any person who posts about wholesaling in Florida is probably not the best approach.

And for sure since the slant is  anti paid training probably has saved many from going into credit card debt.  

The mayor has a proposal floating around that would allow each host to own two airbnb properties, which has some support, but the anti-airbnb crowd is up in arms over this proposal. 

That's a requirement for running real estate ads so you comply with Fair Housing / anti-discrimination laws.
