Someone skilled with a roller and cut-in brush can do all the walls for that size house in like 2-3 hours.After I get a house back, I will usually go there with magic erasers, a gallon of matching paint, and a $2 disposable roller just to see how much of the walls can be cleaned up or spot-painted in a couple hours.

Everybody probably does this one already, but if you have to stop for a while, lunch, dinner, (I've even done it overnight before), I just place my brush in a ziploc and close it up with as little air as possible, and do the same with my roller in a gallon-size ziploc or wrapping it in plastic wrap.

Per gallon. 1 primer @ $20 + 2 paint @ 25 + Misc tape etc $15 = $85 and labor is usually by how many hours they think the guy will be there and if they are sending an employee they want to cover his 8 hours for the day.

Patched it up best I could with one hand,,,not very good,,,and crawled back up roof to finish.This one story house has 9 foot ceilings so longer ladder crawl for each set of 2 5 gallon buckets of bricks,,,carried out and dumped in trailer outside.

With all of the water conservation laws on newer style toilets 1.6 to 1.3 gallons per flush doesn't help either, I always tell my clients to flush twice to make sure the waste actually makes it to where its going (just hold the handle down longer and you'll get two flushes).

Also ask the scrap yard about what you need as far as proof of ownership; some cities and states have tightened the laws on this after people stole lots of pipes, wiring, etc from houses.Often what happens is you will have lots of iron and steel that can go in the container, and smaller amounts of brass, copper, aluminum, etc, which can go in cardboard boxes or 5-gallon buckets or whatever.
