If you hire a larger company how can these companies generate a profit unless they either (1) have enormous economies of scale (ie. over 100 properties under management) or (2) are making money in other ways (padding estimates, charging higher than normal fees, pocketing late fees, etc.)? 

It was enormously time consuming and stressful.  

They're just enormously strong beasts.

And if you aren't particularly fast at it, or you hate the learning curve, it's just a more efficient use of time for many people, to just either hire someone, or just keep simple ledgers/folders and maybe a simple spreadsheet like mine was.I tried setting up QB for my daughter's property and found it enormously frustrating to learn.  

It's enormously frustrating and you're entitled to your anger.  

And it makes me doubly mad when lawyers try to scare people into thinking simple situations are enormously complicated, and that therefore they must get an expensive lawyer.Okay, rant over.

They can't afford to.And also knowing that planning a wedding is enormously time-consuming, and adding that to a first year law student's first semester - I just don't know how to make it clear how enormously insane it is, and how the outcome is very much likely to be a failure.I"m not just talking about someone taking some classes while planning a wedding.
