Now what you should have done was post a notice of abandonment on their door when they did move out, wait the allotted time, and then change the locks/clean.

Just because a tenant pays rent and pays on time does not make them a good tenant.I think there is allot of great responses already but you have to manage the property yourself or manage the manager...
