Observe, don't bid.Carefully watch others, listen to their conversation Inspect the property - listen to others as they inspect the house, observe how careful they are, checking water pressure, looking at water marks, cob webs, negative things -- trying to jestify a price or deciding that it's something they don't want. 

I'm biased in that I believe if you're the low watermark for rental price (i.e. are other units going $500 and not $300) you'll get bottom-of-the-barrel tenants that come with issues. 

Learn how to watermark all your photos with your phone number or some other identifying information so people can verify you are the owner.

There are a couple of well known sites like FCI Exchange and Watermark.

If the photos are watermarked call the phone number in the watermark not the one in the add.

Also post your rental ad pictures with watermarks of your contact info, this way it would be difficult for the scammer to use your property.

Condo' s are still about 50% of their high water mark in some of the near west suburbs, I see room for price inflation.

i know they covered exterior but he forgot the ceilings with water marks and the laminate floor ruined. i had to get someone replacing the floor of the whole room plus hallway into another room to match the color and painted the room. it was a disaster. the way he sounds the roof was covered that's why he didn't pay attention.
