I floated the idea past our tenants and they think it is wonderful ... two of them have since become involved with this band of landless gardeners.Do any other landlords here allow community garden groups to use their property for vegetable patches?

This is the location of a vegetable garden.

“Hot tub was awesome, views amazing, but there was no vegetable oil” said no one ever. 

About 3 years ago some "forever" tenants (I knew they weren't forever but they thought they were) left, and when they left they didn't take down the raised bed vegetable planter they put in the back yard (with my permission).

Make a soup of vegetables, carrots, cabbage, onion, green onions, bones from above and cook for a while. 

It must have all three wetland criteria: Wetland Soils, Wetland Vegetation, and Wetland Hydrology.

I plan to create a very private courtyard with fencing and vegetation so we don't feel like roommates but neighbors. 

The tenants maintain the landscaping well, I have allowed the tenants to make changes to the landscaping, and plant a vegetable garden.
