and now there is FIRTA which requires tax withholding on sales by non-residents/non-US citizens.Here's a list of popular countries, with restrictions:United States--- Purchases in some areas can require disclosure of principals and FIRTA withholding at sale time approximately 15%.United Kingdom--- 3% stamp duty on investment buyers and 15% tax if bought in name of shell company.Thailand--- Foreigners cannot buy freehold land....and only 49% (foreign quota) of certain condo projects. 

That income can be ANY legal and verifiable source of income,  including wages, SSI/SSD, food stamps,  settlements/child support etc.   

Consider requesting construction documents.You may need an engineer registered in California to stamp them.PM me if you need plumbing permit documents.

I include a self-addressed stamped envelope so all the tenant needs to do is put their check or money order in the envelop and send it back. 

Stamp "Address Correction Requested" on the outside of the envelope.

Some state will have you pay some stamp tax on the change of title, and some will even ask you to pay like it was a sale.

Any formal closing process or deeded it over should have triggered a transfer stamp to get the final water bill paid before you took ownership!

Basically she comes up with new policies against landlords and the rest of the city council rubber stamps it.
