My wife has a YouTube/Social Media business (youtube ad revenue, selling of ebooks/courses, brand sponsorships, etc) and it would be a bonus (but not required) for this person to be knowledgeable about tax strategies for this type of business as well.

Before you agree to sponsorship, I would definitely make sure you will be getting the level of support you want & need. 

The best think you can do is actually get to know the sponsorship group.

Hello, has anyone had success with Dave Lindahl's sponsorship program that guarantees a sponsor for 12mos ?    

I am really hoping to bring as much value as I can to my future sponsorship team!

My problem/question is that after getting my RE license I need sponsorship from a RE broker, at least for the first 3 years.  

Vetting your sponsorship team is key too, because if you’re bringing on your investors, then you are putting their money at risk!

This is in no way a passive activity, even though it may be part time, and you will want to show it as full time for tax purposes.As a private investor you have no decision making in the deal, and all you get are monthly, quarterly or annual statements, depending on the sponsorship, so there is no active participation in the investment.
