I've been in Lisbon for around 4 years - initially travelling between London and Lisbon before settling.  

I would be going that route . complaint to the bar closing atrorney could get disbarred and thats a big motivation to settle with you.

I personally don't like to settle (and am risk adverse); so, I did both...went to college and have a portfolio of investments that generate passive income.

I am clearly biased in that I think PassivePockets is great - but I always recommend you join a couple communities and then settle in the one where the culture of the Community best fits your personality. 

I believe the area is starting settle back in to normalcy.

Time will tell especially as these large companies settle their operations here. 

My lawyer seems to just give me in the direction of settling. 1.

@Shaun Hunt believe what you really want to do is start a "Master LLC" that can function as a PMC.You would then sign management agreements between Master/PMC & property LLC's and have all income & expenses run through Master/PMC LLC, and only have to "settle up" annually with the property LLC(s).Check with a qualified tax professional.

I think once I get my footing again I'll do more research on better locations that appreciate and hold onto that appreciation with future growth.The appraised equity really is putting me out and stuck with settling for what the going rate of the current market is.

Sept settled sales were down approx 5% from last year and down approx 15% from August.
